This handcrafted Victorian style necklace features a wonderful vintage black glass cameo with a lovely maiden in a flowing gown surrounded by swooping birds. The cameo is set in a vintage brass setting. I've combined smoky quartz crystals and a beautiful vintage brass repousse bird to frame this gorgeous pendant. Lovely patina on all the vintage brass. A very romantic piece of jewelry.

I would daily throw out crumbs for the sparrows in the neighborhood. I noticed that one sparrow was injured, so that it had difficulty getting about. But I was interested to discover that the other sparrows, apparently by mutual agreement, would leave the crumbs which lay nearest their crippled comrade, so that he could get his share, undisturbed.
